About Kelbe Photography

In December of 2002, Kristen inherited her first real camera from her Grandfather.  It was an old 35mm Minolta.  She instantly feel in love with capturing moments and learning about light and film.  Her hobby continued throughout her college and engineering career.  In February of 2009, Kristen started the beginning of several life changing decisions including establishing Kelbe Photography, LLC.

Kristen interned under a fashion photographer with over 25 years of experience for several months in the beginning of 2009.  She appreciated the opportunity to assist in everything from weddings to senior pictures to charity events.  Since gathering up quite a bit of knowledge she has been in her studio and on location snapping away.  

In 2010, Kristen decided to expand her skill set into the world of underwater photography.  She spent most of her time on the beautiful island of St. Croix, USVI and focused on refining her underwater skills in the incredible Caribbean waters.  Kelbe Photography is proud to announce it is now also available for underwater photography including scuba, snorkeling, and surfing.

Recently, Kristen was married to the love of her life on St. Croix.  The couple lives in North Carolina but tries to get back to their vacation home on St. Croix as much as possible.
